Manchester’s food scene is not one to underestimate! This city boasts some of the best food in the UK, and for good reason. We’ve decided to make a list of Manchester’s top 10 restaurants that you have to try.Â
Must-Try Spots:
The Edinburgh Castle, Ancoats
Despite being a pub, The Edinburgh Castle is a beloved spot in Ancoats that’s won many an award for being one of the best gastropubs in the UK. Hearty British food that’s locally sourced and absolutely delicious. This is definitely one to add to the list of places to try in Manchester.Â
10 Tib Lane, Central
A space serving up cocktails, wine and a seasonal menu is one too hard to resist. Chic, romantic and exciting is how we’d describe 10 Tib Lane, you’ll always be having a blast. They even have a rule of no football shirts (which is a definite struggle for many), and we totally get it.Â
Maray, Spinningfields
This Middle Eastern inspired spot not only has drool-worthy food, their cocktails and wine selection are unbeatable too. Beginning in Paris then moving to Manchester and Liverpool, their sharing plates took over the cities massively. Priding themselves on fresh food of the highest quality, Maray is not one to skip when you want food packed with flavour.Â
Erst, Ancoats
Natty wine anyone? To add onto that, they do small plates too. We just know that many of you would absolutely love this spot. Another seasonal menu that’s Modern European and oh so good. This is where to go when you want to woo someone, we know from experience x.
Onda Pasta Bar, Oxford Road
We all saw how their tiramisu drawer took over the internet and we totally get it, we also want a tiramisu drawer. They serve up gorgeous fresh pasta that’s exciting and delicious. It’s a funky and exciting spot that serves up all their food with lots of love.Â
Skof, Noma
If you’re looking for reimagined yet modern British food, look no further than Skof. With each dish being different and exciting, Skof is a true gem in Manchester. A warm and minimalistic space that looks too good to be true, their bookings are gone in a matter of seconds! Serving up stunning tasting menus, you’re in for a treat at Skof. This is definitely a splurge but one to try for sure.Â
Higher Ground, Piccadilly
A seasonal daily changing menu that focuses on fresh produce and hand-rolled pasta, as well as a wine list that doesn’t disappoint. Anchoring on the premise of feasting, they’re all about large sharing plates. Absolutely beloved by locals, they’re a smash hit that’s all about the quality.
New Wave Ramen, Central
A Japanese ramen bar celebrating the new wave styles of Tokyo that prides itself on having everything made in house, including having an in-house noodle room. Sourcing almost all of their ingredients locally, you’ll be getting authentic ramen that’s made sustainably. A funky space that’s all about the details, New Wave Ramen is one to try for a cosy meal. Â
Climat, Canal-side
A wine-led rooftop restaurant and bar, need we say more? Well just in case, Climat is a chic and sophisticated spot that’s perfect for date night. Focused on simplicity and quality, that’s what you’re going to get when you come here. They even harvest their own honey! This is definitely the spot you’ll want to go to when you want an evening of drinking at the chicest spot in town.Â
Ancoats Deli, Ancoats
This neighbourhood deli and bar is a new spot in Manchester but it’s already making a name for itself.
