We’ve been listening. The Appetite app has had a makeover - and it’s all about making it easier for diners to discover your restaurant.
Why Have Things Changed?

Some users found the old app a bit overwhelming. Too many options, too much content, and not always clear on what they were actually meant to be doing on there.

The insight was simple: a simpler, more social experience would help diners connect, discover, and book -  which is great news for restaurants.

What’s New?

The app is now centred around friend-driven recommendations and making plans together. Here’s what’s changed:

New Home
Where diners discover their next booking:

  • 🌶️ Weekly Digest: 10 curated picks - from hot new openings to headline Perks, puts your restaurant directly in front of ready-to-book diners.
  • 👯‍♀️ Places You & Your Friends Want to Try: when one diner saves your spot, it shows up in their friends’ lists too - turning one interested potential diner into a group booking.
  • 🛎️ Perks: exclusive offers to drive visibility and footfall without discounting your brand. Formerly known as Drops, we believe ‘Perks’ aligns more closely with what we are really trying to do: reward diners for eating out.
  • 💘 Friend Feed: diners see where their friends have been and loved - word of mouth, made digital - keeping your restaurant top-of-mind.

Simplified navigation
Less clutter, a sharper focus on friend recs and making plans, and a smoother path from discovery to booking.

Why Should Restaurants Care?
  • Recommendations from friends carry more weight than any algorithm or paid ad. Now, diners are seeing your restaurant because someone they trust wants to go or has been.
  • Weekly digests and friend feeds keep restaurants top-of-mind for planning nights out.
  • Less friction = more bookings. A simpler, social-first app keeps diners engaged and moving from discovery to table.

The new app is designed to make discovery social, simple, and actionable. For restaurants, that means more diners seeing your venue, more bookings, and more opportunities to build loyal relationships.

The Takeaway

Diners are already looking for places to go with friends - the new Appetite app makes it easier than ever for them to find you.
